How Does Polyurethane Injection Work?

  • Small holes are drilled into the foundation on a 45% angle intersecting the crack.
  • Metal fittings or packers are installed into the holes.
  • The face of the crack is sealed with a rapid cure epoxy paste.
  • A flexible, one-component polyurethane injection resin is pumped into the metal packers, under high pressure filling the entire crack.
One component, closed cell, hydrophobic, water reactive, phthalate , low viscosity polyurethane injection resin for stabilization and water cut-off of large water leaks. In contact with water the SPETEC® STOP H100 will expand and set as a permanent water seal.

Resin Injection

Acrylate resin is a unique blend of polymers that provide an extremely low viscosity and increased flexibility making it suitable for injecting into capillary, hairline cracks and honeycombed concrete. Arcryates super low surface tension makes it suitable for penetrating into soils with a process called curtain grouting. Curtain grouting is sealing a concrete structural element by drilling a sequence of holes from the negative side of the concrete and grouting into the soil forming curtain or barrier.
